My name is Sharon Toews and I can't get enough of dogs! I was raised in a dog-less home and it seems I've been trying to make up for lost time. As I clung to every stray and cared for friends' dogs, I discovered I had a natural ability to work with canines regardless of size and temperament. No, the novelty has not worn off; I'm now a grandmother and still enjoy every aspect of caring for and training dogs.
Over the last 35 years I have worked with over 400 dogs, large and small. What 
started out as a favour for friends, in order to get my dog-fix, turned into a full time job boarding and eventually doggie-daycare. Customers were amazed at my ability to keep so many dogs peaceful and obedient and often asked me for training. I now recognize God has blessed me with this talent for understanding dogs and working with you the owner. With gratitude, I donate 30% of my profits to various organizations helping children in Manitoba, Costa Rica and West Africa.
In 2012 I was able to fulfill a life-long dream and earn my Professional Dog Trainers certification including First Aid and solutions for problem behaviours. I aced the 12
week program with Ben Kersen and the Wonderdogs in Victoria, BC. (I know - must have been tough missing our Manitoba winter!) I love his unique "praise and play" style of training but I recognize that his energetic method is not for everyone. I am always studying different training styles to find one that will suit your needs, such as Karen Pryor, Sophia Yin, Ian Dunbar and other famous trainers.
